Expatriate Preparation

All programmes are coordinated, run and overseen personally by its directors Kevan Hawley and Beverley Hawley together with various qualified staff.

Kevan Hawley

Kevan holds 2 degrees:

    - A Bachelor of Science

    - A Master's Degree in Business Leadership.

Kevan's dissertation for his Master's Degree in Business Leadership was entitled "Key Success Factors for Expatriate Management in Africa".

He was born in 1960 in Kenya, East Africa, to parents who were themselves expatriates.

He was educated in South Africa at the University of Witwatersrand and held a full bursary from SABMiller. Whilst with SABMiller he worked his way up to a senior executive level. Kevan was responsible for Production, Human Resources, Engineering, Quality Control and Finance. (A total of 12 years service.)

SABMiller is regarded as one of the most progressive and forward thinking companies in South Africa.

Kevan worked as an expatriate in Africa for SABMiller during his time with them and it was here that he gained direct experience as an expatriate. He was expatriated with his wife and 2 children.

His expatriation prompted him to write his Master's dissertation on the subject.

Kevan started Expatriate Preparation - World in 1994 after having resigned from SABMiller.

Beverley Hawley

Beverley holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Beverley has first hand experience as an expatriate wife and mother and has personal input into the programmes.

Beverley's main portfolio is research, programme administration, designing and overseeing the children's programmes as well as managing the language department.

Lyndsay Adie-Wilsnach

Lyndsay is a qualified teacher and psychologist.

Lyndsay's main portfolio is conducting expatriate training programmes as well as expatriate youth programmes where she prepares, develops and counsels expatriates and their children. Lyndsay is also involved in conducting our repatriation programmes.

Lyndsay has traveled internationally meeting with and counseling expatriates and their children over the past 9 years.

Justin Hawley

Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Intrapreneurial Management from the University of Johannesburg. Justin will graduate in November 2010 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.

Justin has experience as an expatriate youngster and has traveled to 26 countries across the globe.

Justin's main portfolio is research as well as management of the organisation's operations.
